GJS

Dealer Profile: GJS

GJS has been an authorised Roland DG Australia dealer from 2008, with both companies supporting each other in many ways, including national roadshow events and tradeshows in the retail, education and promotional-product space.

In operation since 1978, GJS is a provider of printing solutions and services for the textile, promotional products, custom photo gift, sign and display industries. The company supports an extensive range of print solutions, including heat transfer, dye sublimation, direct to garment, digital solvent and screen printing solutions.

GJS aims to be their customers’ trusted partner by providing innovative solutions to help them reach their business potential. When someone becomes a customer of GJS, they gain access to a range of unique value-add services, such as a comprehensive self-service knowledge base with over 1000+ articles and instructional videos, and a unique tiered points system that rewards loyal customers with free product vouchers and other benefits.

Working with Roland DG

GJS has worked with Roland DG during many important milestones over the years, including the release in 2011 of one of the most popular print and cut solutions GJS has ever sold, the Roland DG VersaStudio BN-20 desktop printer cutter, and more recently, the introduction of the versatile VersaUV LEF series UV printers that continue to gain popularity in the Australian market.

"What we enjoy most about being an authorised partner is Roland DG's willingness to support GJS and its various initiatives."

Lukas Picton from GJS adds: “What we enjoy most about being an authorised partner is Roland DG’s willingness to support GJS and its various initiatives… The team at Roland DG know and understand the way that we like to work and… this support has helped us earn the Roland DG ‘Highest Sales Growth’ award every year since 2017.”

Industry Outlook

The GJS team has been keeping an eye on a shift in the industry, whereby customers and companies are moving past mass customisation from large corporates and multinational brands. Today, it is relatively easy and affordable for smaller companies to provide a quality customisation service to their customers, in new markets such as DTG, print and cut and digital UV printing.

Lukas believes that it is “the ability to improve print workflows by involving customers in the creation process via online designers, customisation engines and apps and you have the perfect confluence of timing and technology that will drive our industry into the next era.”

Feedback on Roland DG’s Products

The most common feedback that GJS receives from customers about Roland DG’s products is how reliable they are and how easily the products integrate with their business, quickly generating profits. Lukas explains further: “With good ink value, combined with the above mentioned reliability and ease of use, we have countless customers with a Roland DG device as the cornerstone of their business.”

The team at GJS has experienced the reliability of Roland DG devices firsthand: “Taking numerous Roland DG products around the country for roadshow events and the products experiencing the knocks and bumps of transit, only to power up and print/cut first time, every time.”
