TrueVIS VG-640 printer cutter is the perfect partner for Brand Hero to make their business soar

Brand Hero

Evolving from an offset print company that started over 20 years ago, operations moved towards a more hybrid business model, offering print, signage and design in line with market changes in the early 2000s. At that time, ‘All About Print’ (as it was formally known) bought their first, small second-hand Roland DG printer through Sign Essentials and started learning their signage craft as their business grew from printing stickers, banners and posters to vehicle and building signage.

Always looking for better ways to meet their clients’ needs, the natural next step was for the business to upgrade to a Roland DG 1370-wide printer model and begin to focus more on the wide-format print market which now contributes approximately 60% of their sales and revenue. Brand Hero rebranded in 2019, to the company we know today and bought a TrueVIS VG-640 8-colour printer cutter that’s still in operation.

Roland DG devices have played an integral part in Brand Hero’s growth over the years so when it came to deciding to purchase their TrueVIS printer cutter Jonathan Edwards, Director of Brand Hero said “we didn’t research. We knew Roland DG from our previous machines so keeping with them, and (local dealer) Sign Essentials, was a no-brainer. The colour consistency and vibrancy is fantastic, it really makes our vehicle wraps stand out on the road.”

Using their TrueVIS VG-640 inkjet printer cutter for vehicle wraps, printed signage, wallpapers and window graphics, the team at Brand Hero have been delighted with its reliability, colour consistency and usability. As Jonathan says “it’s a workhorse. We have operators who come in and are able to smash out jobs day in, day out and I know the colour’s going to be consistent from this day, right on all week, right on into the future.”

That reliability is extremely important for Jonathan and with little to no down-time he can focus his efforts elsewhere knowing “this machine is always going to be operating and always making money for my business.”

Behind-the-scenes, Brand Hero also cleverly leverages any/all resources available through Roland DG Care to support their business growth – one of these is Roland Academy Online, regular training courses offered by Roland DG to increase efficiency and productivity. According to Jonathan, “Having the Roland Academy is fantastic. I can book team members in to get upskilled, or fill skills gaps, and I’ve got peace of mind as a business owner that they can go on and learn those skills without taking me out of the business.”

Colour quality, precision and vividness are of utmost importance to Brand Hero’s clients and Jonathan loves ‘wowing’ them with the products they produce on their TrueVIS machine. Jonathan believes their TrueVIS printer is one of the key contributors, enabling them to deliver their brand promise ‘Brand Hero Make your business soar’.
