Long Story Short - Specialists in High Quality Prints for Small to Medium Runs
Long Story Short | Australia
Long Story Short is a growing, Sydney-based business dedicated to supporting the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, both locally and interstate. They specialise in product label printing and an extended range of design and print solutions including graphic design, marketing materials, promotional items, banners, backdrops, packaging, and stickers — everything a small product-based business needs, to make an impact and elevate their brand.
We love our Roland DG machines as they are very user friendly, easy to use, and fast.
Before
- Identified an opportunity to supply high-quality, small volume print runs for small product-based businesses.
- Quickly attracted more client work than their original printer could handle.
- Pressure to scale up quickly.
After
- Expanded their printer line-up to capitalise on technology advancements and increase their production capacity.
- Their equipment enables a range of printing techniques, each designed to achieve distinctive and high-impact results.
Over a decade ago, Jes Moreta and Cynthia Liao — founders of Long Story Short — saw a gap in the market: small to medium-sized businesses needed high-quality, low- to mid-volume print runs without the usual complexity or cost. They began with a single product and a small printer operating from under Cynthia’s staircase. Today, Long Story Short has grown into two modern studios equipped with advanced Roland DG machines and a skilled team of in-house and freelance design and print professionals.
What sets them apart is twofold: their tailored service for small businesses, and the consistently high quality of their work.
Their mission is simple — to create a design and print experience, small businesses can enjoy. This focus shapes every aspect of their process, from friendly service at every touchpoint to flat-rate design fees and low minimum order quantities via their online store — making professional branding more accessible to every client, regardless of their business size.
Precision printing with the right machines
Their carefully chosen Roland DG printers allow Long Story Short to produce stunning, on-trend labels quickly and affordably — even for urgent jobs, mock-ups, or small runs.
With nearly one hundred 5-star Google Reviews, their commitment to quality and service speaks for itself. Words like “stunning,” “flawless,” “above-and-beyond,” “friendly,” and “amazing quality” appear time and again in client testimonials — a reflection of the lasting impression they leave with every project.
Future growth objectives
Long Story Short are constantly evolving, regularly adding new machines and services to meet the needs of their growing client base.
According to Jes, they never rest on their laurels saying “we’re always on the lookout for new products we can offer to our customers, so we’re often buying new machines to offer a new service.”
